Showcase Theatre, a non-profit theatre arts organization, was founded in 1981 and incorporated in 1983, to provide an entertainment environment, whereby quality productions of theatre, video, TV, and film could be realized. In the process of providing a “showcasing” of the talents of writers, directors, actors, etc., an effort has been successfully made to establish and promote a bond between the community and the artists. In this endeavor, Showcase has presented performances (including several World Premieres) to the general public, charity organizations, senior citizen, youth, and veteran groups, etc. These performances have taken place at theatres throughout London, San Francisco, the Peninsula, and the South Bay Areas. In addition, Showcase has produced TV series and situation comedy pilots in association with Hearst CableVision and Viacom Productions.
